Policies
Class Observation
In order for the dancers to focus, parents will not be allowed in the class during regular class times. We will hold an informal class demonstration during normal class times during the month of December. Date to be announced.
Attendance
In order for your child to progress and receive the full benefit of training, consistent attendance and on-time arrival is important and required. No more than 3 absences will be allowed or you may be asked to withdraw from the program. Two days of tardiness will count as a full day’s absence. Dancers arriving more than 10 minutes late to class will be asked to observe class. This will ensure the safety of the dancer, as well as correct studio etiquette and respect for fellow dancers and the teacher.
Dress Code
All registered dancers are required to be in dress code for all classes.
Girls - Pink leotard (no decorations, skirts or tutus), pink footed tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in ballet bun, no jewelry
Boys - White fitted t-shirt (plain), black shorts or pants, black ballet shoes
Costume Fee
All registered dancers will participate in the final showing in May. A costume fee of $50 per dancer applies.
Class Cancellations
Please see the calendar for scheduled class cancellations. If inclement weather is expected or occurring, announcements regarding closures will be made via email.
Liability Release Waiver and Consent Forms
Registration is not complete until both the NYPL Waiver, and Mott Haven Ballet Liability Waiver and Release Form have been signed and returned prior to start of classes.
